Image requirements (checked October 2026)
- Amazon main images need a pure white (RGB 255, 255, 255) background with the product filling about 85% of the frame. [1]
- eBay recommends photographing items against a clean white background, at about 1600 × 1600 px. [2]
- Shopify recommends 2048 × 2048 px for square product images. [3]
- Etsy recommends listing photos at least 2000 px wide and tall. [4]

How to make one with SnapStudio
- Take the photo in soft, even light (a window on an overcast day is ideal). Fill most of the frame with the product and keep the whole item in shot.
- Open SnapStudio and drop the photo in. The background is removed in your browser; the image is never uploaded to a server.
- Pick a background (pure white #FFFFFF, any solid colour, or a soft gradient) and toggle the subtle shadow and lighting cleanup.
